A Public Apology

I know, It's been almost a month. Iowe you guys, I do. Either way, I figured I'd post this to let you know a few things:

  1. I am not dead
  2. It's been tough lately, really tough. It seems it's become harder and harder to stay afloat. Blogging has been the last thing on my mind lately.
  3. I have been approved to complete the rest of my schooling from home. This means I can graduate on time. That makes me happy as fuck.
  4. I cut my hair off. All of my hair off. I got pretty sick of it cracking and falling out.
  5. I've been eating 1800 calories a day since Christmas (with a few mess-ups here and there, but hey, no body's perfect). I guess it's probably time to increase soon.
  6. I love you all, and I promise, a more detailed update/ranty rant is coming soon. I just need to figure out my own head first.
From a very tired warrior,
Heath

  2. No need to apologize, man.
As I see it, the two main motivations for the publication of this blog were

    1. Aiding in your recovery
    2. Academic, since it's counted for a part of your degree.
Despite your recent rough patch, I think that your recovery has been going really well overall, You’re miles ahead of where you were at the start of last semester, which I think is really amazing, and you should be proud of it. The fact that you’ll be able to graduate on time and you’re happy about it is really great as well!

Though we all enjoy reading your blog, I think I speak for most readers when I say that we’re just happy to know that you’re recovering, and happy with your academic situation. Needing a break from writing to focus on coming out of your rough patch is understandable, and we’re behind you 100%.

As someone who’s going through a different (non-eating) disorder which has its fair share of rough patches, I feel like I should give you this advice. Don’t let the rough patches define you. Remember that they’re temporary, and that even tomorrow could be a good day. Also remember that you’re winning the war against Ed. You may be going through a rough patch, but as soon as the momentum swings back in your favour, you’ll be swinging punches at that motherfucker ‘til he bleeds.

Tl;dr: We all love and support you, and just want what’s best for you. If taking a break from writing is what you need to feel better, it’s completely fine. Keep on truckin’ Rudy!

  3. Thank-you for the update, and I agree with Rudy. We're just happy to know that you're fighting your fight, and happy with your academics. Understand that although we would enjoy a blog post if it comes out, we're more happy with you doing you at the moment, and that is much more important.

I got my hair cut last week, quite short, so I know how that feels.

Enjoy the spring, I hope it's as nice weather there, Nicole.
